The clients partnered to implement a coal-based accounting system to enhance traceability and accountability in coal deliveries between mines, refineries, and power stations, addressing opportunities for fraud and theft. They partnered with a company specialises in weighbridge and bulk goods logistics.
Dariel contributed resources and expertise, providing consultation on backend software design and integration channel protocol design, ensuring that the existing logistics solution could adapt to custom requirements for multi-tenant integration.
Dariel assisted in recovering legacy functionality and customising it to meet client specifications gathered through direct stakeholder engagement. Employing an agile methodology, Dariel’s delivery team worked on five modules simultaneously, with three teams of four members each, including developers and QA engineers. This parallel approach enabled timely delivery while specifications were still being finalised, supported by Dariel’s project management team, which included a system designer, business analyst, and project manager working alongside the clients’ product owner and project sponsors.
Upon successful completion of testing, which included automated unit tests and QA regression tests, the production-grade solution was deployed to the designated environment. This marked a significant step forward in optimising coal logistics for the client.
